Scent Profile and Versatility: What does Creed Aventus smell like?

The best way to describe the smell of Creed Aventus is a sophisticated and masculine blend of citrus and wood. The top notes open with a burst of pineapple, blackcurrant, bergamot, and apple. As it settles, the middle notes introduce birch, jasmine, and patchouli, creating a smoky and woody depth. The base notes of oakmoss, vanilla, ambergris, and musk give it a rich finish. Overall, I can’t be any more satisfied with a scent profile. I absolutely love how this cologne smells1

I don’t view Creed Aventus as an everyday scent (especially at its price point.) Instead, I save it for special occasions, formal events, date nights, or for when I need to make a really great impression. In my opinion, because of woody smells from the dry-down, this is a year-round nighttime cologne.

Performance

Creed Aventus, in my opinion, has a very long-lasting smell. I’ve never had to reapply this cologne. I typically won’t stop smelling it until I wash it off my skin or clothing. So if you’re wearing it for a night out, this cologne will be right there with you. As the scent evolves through dry-down, you will start to smell more of a woody smell where the scent is applied. Creed Aventus has a fair amount of sillage. It’s more of an up-close and personal-smelling cologne. I wish that it projected just a little bit more, but I am glad that the projection won’t fill up the room I’m in.

Value: Is Creed Aventus worth the price?

Creed Aventus is currently priced on Amazon at $365 for the 50ml-sized bottle. Even though this cologne tops every other cologne that I own, I still think that Creed Aventus is expensive. Would I pay that price just to keep this cologne in my rotation? Absolutely! I love the way this cologne smells and its longevity. Owning this cologne has shown me what to look for in other quality fragrances.

Overall, I’m pretty happy to have this cologne. Since it is one of the best men’s products that I own, I didn’t want to leave it off of Mascive.com.
